It's a sad thing to see people, particularly artists (of any type), closing down their sites.

Not getting any more works to ogle at is one thing, but when the artists cease to be artists...? When they stop drawing, writing, composing altogether? Where did their passion go?

It's like seeing a bird cut off its own wings.

Maybe those people who stop because of lack of motivation... maybe they didn't have the passion in the first place. Maybe it was just a passing interest. But I don't think that's always the case.

I don't know about them. But me, if I ever drop art when I am still physically able, you can pretty much assume that something very terrible and tragic has happened to me and scarred my soul forever.
