This is going to sound astonishingly stupid, but...

For a long time, I had forgotten that colors do NOT have to be realistic to look good.

I'm not sure how I forgot it in the first place. It's so obvious! I feel liberated. By thinking that I had to go for a realistic color palette, I had shut myself from the vast world of Pretty Fake Colors.

My next color piece (that I do for myself) will be pretty interesting. :) Don't expect it anytime soon, though.
